Ancestry will become an Official Partner of the Goodwood Revival beginning with the 2026 event, adding family history experiences to the historic racing weekend’s established focus on period fashion, culture and design.
The partnership is a three-year agreement and marks Ancestry’s first collaboration with the Goodwood Revival. Rather than concentrating solely on branding around the event, Ancestry will operate several visitor experiences built around genealogy, photography and personal history.
Most visible will be the Best Dressed Competition presented by Ancestry. Period clothing has long been a significant part of the Revival, where visitors are encouraged to dress in styles appropriate to the years represented by the event. Under the new partnership, Ancestry will connect those outfits with the family and personal histories that inspired them.
A dedicated Front Room and Portrait Studio will provide another element. Best Dressed nominees and other visitors will be able to have their Revival outfits photographed by a fashion magazine photographer in a purpose-built period setting.
Next to the portrait studio, Ancestry will create a lounge based on a 1950s front room. Family history specialists will be available there to help visitors begin researching their own ancestry and learn more about the records available for tracing family histories.
Ancestry will also participate in programming on the Revival Style Stage. A series called “Questions + Ancestors” will feature live family-history reveals involving a yet-to-be-announced selection of celebrities.
The partnership fits into the Revival’s increasing emphasis on the broader culture surrounding its historic racing. While competition cars and motorcycles remain central to the weekend, the event recreates the period in which the Goodwood Motor Circuit originally operated, from 1948 until 1966. Period clothing, shops, displays, aircraft and entertainment are integrated throughout the circuit.
The 2026 Goodwood Revival takes place September 18–20. Saturday admission is already sold out, while a limited number of Friday and Sunday tickets remain available.
