Porsche Design Concours Plans Private Car Clubs in West Palm Beach and Dallas | 🇺🇸

Porsche Design and Newgard Development Group have announced Porsche Design Concours, a new concept combining privately owned automobile studios with membership-based clubhouses. The first two locations, in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Dallas, Texas, are targeted to open in 2028, with further developments planned across the United States.

Each property will contain 22 deeded automobile studios, creating 44 across the initial developments. Ranging from 2,700 to 6,000 square feet, the studios will be offered through invitation-only sales. Porsche ownership is not required, and the properties are intended to accommodate collections spanning different manufacturers and eras.

For collectors, the concept provides a place to keep cars while also spending time around them. Each climate-controlled studio will include a mezzanine, full bathroom and wet bar facilities, with space intended for working, relaxing and entertaining alongside an owner’s collection.

A central interior automotive promenade, called The Concours, will organize many of the studios within each property. Designed as a gallery-like arrival and circulation space, it places the cars within the buildings’ shared architectural environment.

The Dallas location is being executed locally by Gensler, while Urban Robot Associates is responsible for West Palm Beach. Both firms have worked in close collaboration with Porsche Design on the architecture and interiors.

A Private Clubhouse at Each Location

Each development will also have a private, membership-based Clubhouse. Planned amenities include dining, private lounges, coworking areas, outdoor terraces and event spaces, alongside padel, spa and wellness facilities. Concierge services, owner programming and 24-hour security are also part of the announced plans.

That combination places Porsche Design Concours within the growing intersection of automotive collecting, hospitality and private clubs. The studios provide individually owned space, while the Clubhouse supplies shared facilities and opportunities for members to meet.

Newgard founder and CEO Harvey Hernandez describes the projects as places built around the time owners spend with their cars. The development strategy also emphasizes proximity: the partners intend to select locations approximately 10 to 15 minutes from the neighborhoods and social destinations frequented by local collectors.

The Beginning of a U.S. Network

West Palm Beach and Dallas are the first locations in a proposed network of Porsche Design Concours properties. Additional projects are planned for selected U.S. markets, although further cities and opening dates have not been announced.

For The Grand Tourist’s readers, the distinction is access. These are planned private ownership and club destinations, with studio sales by invitation, rather than public automotive attractions. Details of Clubhouse membership, guest access and any public programming have not yet been provided.

Both initial locations are targeted to open in 2028. Studio pricing and membership fees were not disclosed in the announcement.
