Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale ‘Perla Nera’ on Display in Arese Through October 18 | 🇮🇹

Visitors to the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, the marque’s historical museum near Milan, have until October 18, 2026, to see “Perla Nera,” a privately commissioned example of the new 33 Stradale. Unveiled earlier this week, it is the only car in the 33-unit production run to feature a fully exposed carbon-fiber body with a matte finish.

The name translates to “Black Pearl” and was chosen and officially registered by its owner, an Alfa Romeo collector. Developed in collaboration with Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, the commission combines a dedicated exterior treatment with an interior tailored to the owner’s preferences and physique.

The bodywork is the principal detail to examine during a visit. Its carbon-fiber weave was arranged to follow the car’s contours, with individual sections laid by hand in the molds to maintain alignment and symmetry. A V-shaped motif defines the hood, while a herringbone pattern continues across the roofline.

Black wheels complete the exterior specification. External badges have been omitted apart from the Alfa Romeo emblems, leaving the exposed carbon-fiber surfaces largely uninterrupted.

Inside, black Alcantara upholstery and carbon-fiber trim continue the monochromatic theme. The sports seat was redesigned through dedicated fitting sessions, and the headrest was reshaped to improve its contact surface and incorporate a carbon-fiber insert bearing the Perla Nera name. A revised interpretation of Alfa Romeo’s “cannelloni” upholstery pattern appears on the seats, door panels and side sills.

Other commissioned details include the owner’s initials engraved on the rotary selector and black Alcantara luggage marked with the car’s production number. The storage compartment was relocated to the rear wall using a purpose-designed bracket, while Quadrifoglio and Autodelta symbols appear inside the cabin.

Inspired by the 1967 original, the contemporary 33 Stradale is limited to 33 examples. Perla Nera has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing more than 630 hp, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. Alfa Romeo quotes a top speed of 207 mph and acceleration from zero to 62 mph in less than three seconds.

The project was developed by Bottega Alfa Romeo, part of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, the personalization operation serving Alfa Romeo and Maserati. For travelers visiting the Milan area, the temporary display provides an opportunity to examine a contemporary commission alongside the museum’s presentation of Alfa Romeo history.
