Goodwood Revival Closes Its 2026 Season With Maserati, Vespa and Le Mans Tributes | 🇬🇧
The 2026 Goodwood Revival brought three days of historic racing and period culture to the Goodwood Motor Circuit from September 18–20. This year’s Italian theme placed Maserati’s racing centenary at the center of the event, while a parade of more than 300 pre-1967 scooters marked 80 years of the Vespa. The weekend also celebrated Sir Jack Brabham, Barry Sheene and the 60th anniversary of Ford’s 1966 Le Mans victory.
A collection of Maserati competition and road cars traced the marque’s century in racing. Italian scooters, including Vespas and Lambrettas, took part in the Track Opening Parade, joined by the Vespa Acrobats. Away from the circuit, the Turning Circle took on a La Dolce Vita theme, extending the celebration into the event’s displays and period setting.
Goodwood also assembled all three Ford GT MkIIs from the marque’s 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Displayed together in Earls Court, the cars later recreated their finish on the circuit. Among the drivers who took the wheel were Derek Bell, Tom Kristensen, Scott Dixon, André Lotterer and Emanuele Pirro. A separate gathering marked the centenary of Brabham’s birth and 60 years since his third Formula 1 title. Championship-winning motorcycles honored Sheene 50 years after his first world title.
On track, Lotterer and Lukas Halusa won Sunday’s Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration, the Revival’s headline race. Romain Dumas and Fred Shepherd claimed the two-part St. Mary’s Trophy in a field that included Jaguar Mk2s, Ford-Lotus Cortinas and Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAs. Richard Wilson won the Lavant Cup for 1950s Ferrari and Maserati sports cars in a Maserati 250S, while Alexander van der Lof and Yelmer Buurman won the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy. Tom Booth-Amos and Ben Kingham took the Barry Sheene Memorial on a Vincent Black Shadow. All racing at the Revival used sustainable fuel.
The weekend reached beyond motorsport. The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation concours named a 1947 Le Vier Cosmic Wind its Best in Show, and the Revival Style Stage hosted fashion and heritage discussions alongside vintage shopping. Bonhams’ Saturday auction included a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS that sold for £310,500 and a 1936 Aston Martin 2-Litre Speed Model that brought £345,000.
Dunlop joined the Revival as its first presenting partner this year, a connection to the circuit’s early history: the tire company was among its original sponsors in 1948. The next Goodwood Revival is scheduled for September 17–19, 2027.
